Planned Giving
Wills & Bequests
Many of us are not in the position to make the kinds of gifts we would like during our lifetime. But often there is room to remember Girl Scouting in our wills. There may be substantial tax savings for your heirs by making a charitable bequest. The fund development department can provide information about other ways you can make a planned gift to the Council.
Include the Council in your will, a charitable trust, a gift annuity, or pooled income fund; name the Council as owner or beneficiary of a new or existing life insurance policy; or make a major gift of money, securities, personal property, land or other real estate.
Planned gifts help ensure the long-range future stability of Girl Scouting.
