GIRL SCOUT SUMMER FUN!
Dear Friends, It is hard to
believe that the first summer holiday, Memorial
Day weekend, has come and gone and it is almost
time for school to be out. I do hope you have a
fun and exciting summer planned for you and your
children…does it include a week at our summer
camp? Sure hope your girls will be
experiencing all the good times, horseback riding,
and ghost stories by the campfire! There are still
openings for most sessions and we would love to
have you come to camp. Girl Scouts
doesn't just plan fun activities for girls, we
also have two play dates set for our adult members
and friends. On June 19th, we will be hosting the
9th annual Cookie
Classic Golf outing at Walnut Grove
Country Club. This is a best ball scramble which
is accommodating for all level of golfers and just
a fun day in the sun. Later this
summer, we will hold our adult women's event, Pampered
Camper, at our Camp Whip-Poor-Will. This is a
wonderful opportunity to try such activities as
yoga, belly dancing, master gardening, cooking
classes, and of course, all the high adventure
activities that are so much a part of coming to
camp. This event will be held on September 16 and
17 and would be a great girlfriend weekend
get-away. In the meantime, the
construction workers continue to work long days
and weekends to complete our beautiful
new facility. We have our fingers crossed that
we will be moving in early
October. Wishing you all a very safe
and happy summer. Ann Granger,

Camp Whip-Poor-Will had it's FIRST volunteer led

served and the mess cleaned up!
I wish I had room for all of the names of the
