Add a Girl Patch Program

GIRLS

When a girl recruits another girl or an adult to join Girl Scouts, she will receive one add a girl patch and one charm at no cost. For each subsequent girl or adult that is added, she will receive an additional charm. There is no limit to the number of charms or patches a girl can earn (each patch holds six charms).

ADULTS

Adults can also earn the add a girl patch and charms:

• If they add a girl to their existing troop,

• If they recruit an adult (troop committee member, co-leader, driver/chaperon, service team member, etc.)

• If they recruit a girl/adult (individual or becomes a member of another troop).

In order to qualify:

• the girls and adults that are added must be new to Girl Scouts which is defined as not a registered member of Girl Scouts during the 2006-07 membership year.

• the girl and/or adult that is adding members must be a currently registered Girl Scout. In order to be considered registered for this promotion, registration forms must be at the council office.

• All information must be completed on the form, including troop numbers for both new and currently registered girls (use 000 if registered as an individual).

Additional information:

• Charm color will vary and is randomly assigned. We will not fill specific requests for color choice; however girls and adults are welcome to trade with other girls/adults in order to obtain a specific color of charm.

• Campaign will begin on September 1, 2007 and will end September 1, 2008.

• There is no limit to the number of patches or charms an adult can earn.
