CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Blended Learning
(Online) - First Aid with Adult, Child and Infant CPR
Course Fee: $24*
The American Red Cross Blended
Learning First Aid/CPR/AED program prepares individuals to respond
to injuries and sudden illnesses that may arise in the workplace and
the community. These courses offer a combination of self-paced
online study and testing with an instructor-led skills practice and
assessment session.
Each blended learning course is
divided into two sessions. Participants must first complete the
self-paced online session, which includes a written exam, and then
successfully complete an instructor-led skills a practice and
assessment session in order to achieve certification.
Supported Operating
Systems: Windows 2000, XP or Vista. Supported
Internet Browsers: IE 6.0 or higher, Firefox 2.0 or
higher.
First Aid with
Adult, Child and Infant CPR
Course Fee: $24*
Learn the skills needed to prevent,
recognize, and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses
until advanced medical personal arrive. This course covers first
aid, and adult, child and infant CPR in an approach that complements
adult learning styles, featuring hands-on practice and real-life
scenarios. Useful take–home course materials help you retain skills
and serve as an excellent refresher and reference tool after
training is completed. First Aid Certification is valid for three
years; Adult, Child and Infant CPR Certification is valid for one
year. You must attend the entire class to be certified.
First Aid Certification- Only
Course Fee: $24^
Gain the knowledge and learn the
skills necessary to prevent and provide basic care for injuries and
sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive. This course does not include CPR. First Aid Certification is
good for three years. You must attend the entire class to be
certified.
First Aid Review
Course Fee: $8^
This course provides individuals an
opportunity to review the basics of First Aid within a formal
setting. To be eligible to participate in a review session, the
participant must possess a current certificate in American Red Cross
First Aid. All participants must bring the current books/skills
cards to this course or purchase the materials prior to the course.
First Aid
Challenge
Challenge Fee: $8
The First Aid challenge provides
participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their skill and
knowledge competency outside of the formal class setting. The
participant has sole responsibility in preparing for the knowledge
and skills test. Anyone is eligible to participate in a challenge
course. Currently non-certified participants can challenge only
once. If non-certified participants do not pass the knowledge and
skills test, they must take the full course. Currently American Red
Cross certified participants may challenge as often as they like, as
long as their certification is current.
CPR Review—Adult, Child and Infant
Course Fee: $8^
This course provides individuals an opportunity
to review the basics of adult, child and infant CPR within a formal
setting. To be eligible to participate in a review session, the
participant must possess a current certificate in American Red Cross
Adult, Child and Infant CPR. All participants must bring the current
books/skills cards to this course or purchase the materials prior to
the course.
CPR
Certification Only- Adult, Child and Infant
Course Fee: $24*
This course teaches participants how
to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in
infants, children and adults. CPR Certification is valid for one
year.
CPR Challenge—Adult, Child and Infant
Challenge Fee: $8
The CPR challenge provides
participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their skill and
knowledge competency outside of the formal class setting. The
participant has sole responsibility in preparing for the knowledge
and skills test. Anyone is eligible to participate in a challenge
course. Currently non-certified participants can challenge only

course. The course fee is then
reduced to $8.

REGISTRATION
You must be registered at least
14 days before the course. Submit a
Training Registration Form
online or download a .pdf
version of the
Adult Training Registration Form
and mail it to the appropriate regional Girl Scout Center. Please
note, your registration is not complete until payment is received.
