Greene County Fair Best of Show winners for Girl Scouts
Katie Leonard, a Brownie from Beavercreek North, received Best of Show for her sea horse watercolor.
Stacie Barcus, a Junior Girl Scout from Senasekom, received Best of Show for her dishtowel angel.
Brianna Leddy, a Cadette from Beavercreek North, received Best of Show for her oil painting.
Layne Schneider, a Senior Girl Scout from Beavercreek South, received Best of Show for her hands drawing.
In the Brownie Division
Michaela Skaggs received 1 st place for her pound cake, no bake cookies, buckeyes, blanket, and yellow rose photo. She received 2nd place for her paper weaving, red and purple flower arrangement, flower painting, and 3rd place for her pastel flowers sketch.
Breonna Dutenhaver received 2nd place for her coffee cake and rocket. She also received 3rd place for her poncho, tie snake, and nature box.
Kathryn Leonard received 1st place for her decorated bag and 3rd place for her recipe book and tie-dyed t-shirt.
Carmen Asman received 1st place for her fish and storybook. She also received 2nd place for her cloth doll, hot air balloon drawing and 3rd place for her under the sea painting.
Grace Mumford received 2nd place for her decorated shirt, ceramic, and scrapbook.
Sara Mumford received 1st place for her puppetry stage. She also received 2nd place for her Christian cross, miscellaneous item, scrapbook and 3rd place for her SWAP hat.
Amethyst Harvey received 1st place for her butterflies and bees flower arrangement, funny in the garden photo and 2nd place for her butterfly color photo.
Katie Leonard received 1st place for her volcano science project, sea horse watercolor painting, and 2nd place for her black and white photo. She also received 3rd place for her color photo, beaded necklace, fish collage, and box.
Kaylyn Mellotte received 1st place for her planet mobile.
In the Brownie group entries, Troop #8001 from Beavercreek North received 1st place for their community project poster.
In the Junior Division
Stacie Barcus received 1st place for her canned green beans, dishtowel angel, water pail flower arrangement, catapult, and origami Santa. She also received 2nd place for her purple cake, apple butter, tie-dyed t-shirt, short story and NY scrapbook.
Stacie Barcus received 3rd place for her raspberry muffins and color staff photo.
Elizabeth Asman received 1st place for her sewing purse, tie dye t-shirt, science project, beaded necklace, and string art. She also received 2nd place for her drawing and 3rd place for her miscellaneous craft.
Anna Mumford received 2nd for her sit upon, needlecraft, Christian cross, and blue duck ceramic. She also received 3rd place for her butterfly house, sculpture, and lady puppet.
Alena Clark received 2nd place for her pen flower vase.
Lauren Pelan received 1st place for her game and pencil drawing. She also received 2nd place for her butterfly house, jewelry, recycled art, and report. Lauren received 3rd place for her ceramics.
Emily Blose received 1st place for her duck color photo.
Christine DeLong received 1st place for her Alaskan husky painting.
In the Cadette Division
Susan Barcus received 1st place for her Dr. Pepper cake, canned green beans, and Silver Award Scrapbook. She also received 2nd place for her tie dyed t-shirt, clay rose sculpture, drawing, origami, and term paper. Susan received 3rd place for her apple butter, flower arrangement, color picture, stepping stone, and painting.
Staci Cook received 2nd place for her grape jelly, framed string art, painted turtle, and Silver Award scrapbook. She also received 3rd place for her butterfly house, bead jewelry, solar system, ceramic dog, and Christmas card stamping.
Kierstan Dutenhaver received 1 st place for her Italy report and 2nd place for her hooked rug.
Brianna Leddy received 1st place for her shadows black and white photo, glass heart pendant, gekko sketch, mother and baby drawing, oil painting, and carved stamp. She also received 2nd place for her lake color photo, mosaic table, and red headband. Brianna received 3rd place for her paper and tote bag.
In the Senior division
Layne Schneider received 1st place for her hands drawing, and computer art. She also received 2nd place for her cloudy day black and white photo, crazy color photo, and Asian acrylics painting.
Kim Pilkenton received 2nd place for her horse ceramic, drifting flowers sketch, tangle of branches drawing, “Blue Bowties” short story, and original poem—“An Etheree.”
