Girl Scout Volunteer Executive Award

The Girl Scout Volunteer Executive Award recognizes a volunteer who has served in a leadership role at the council or national level.

Criteria

The nominee...

• is a registered Girl Scout.

• adheres to all policies and procedures of the Girl Scout organization.

• is a board of trustees or management volunteer in a leadership role.

• has completed appropriate orientation and training for the volunteer position.

• has completed successful leadership service in the Girl Scout organization at the local or national level.

• should have provided the service during the current membership year

Examples  

• A president of the board of trustees successfully completes a term.

• A chair of a board committee successfully completes service.

• A Service Unit Manager successfully completes service.

• A chair of a council committee successfully completes service.

Recognition

Black Key (and Volunteer Development Pin, if do not have.)

Procedures

• Nominator completes form 926 and gives to the Training Consultant.

• Training Consultant records information from form 926 on Individual Record

• Training Consultant then sends form to the Volunteer Development Department at Council.

• Volunteer Development Department purchases Black Key (and Volunteer Development Pin) from Shop.

• Volunteer Development Department presents at Annual Meeting.
