The Buckeye Trails Award is a local Council award that recognizes an adult in or out of Girl Scouting who has delivered outstanding service to an Association, or the Council through a program delivery audience.

has provided outstanding service and leadership to an Association, or the Council through a program delivery audience in a way that furthers the Council’s goals

has provided service beyond the expectations for the position

has specific services documented that show service and leadership

has specific results documented that show her/his impact

the necessary three letters of endorsement
Examples

The director of an Association level day camp that provides outstanding services and membership opportunities for girls.

The director of an organization that directly impacts Girl Scout programming at an Association or Council level.

The chair of a Council-wide or Association event such as the County Fair, Jamboree, Leaders’ Week- end, GSUSA LPGA, High Adventure, or Council Wide Trips.

A council trainer who exemplifies the Council’s goal of working actively with the entire council and has trained in various geographic locations.

An individual who provides long-term leadership on a Council level committee such as Adult Recognitions, Older Girl Programming, Diversity, Religious Awards, etc.

An individual who provides leadership in adult and girl recruitment and retention at an Association level.

An individual who provides leadership in furthering Council and GSUSA goals through any appro- priate area such as training, programming, fund development, in-school scouting, etc.
